Moving to Glasgow to pursue a masters is the toughest decision I had to make. Well that was until I got here. Don’t get me wrong, I loved the city even before I got here but the choice of program to pursue was the problem. As a geneticist with no background in pharmacy, I was very skeptical in pursuing a masters in anything drug discovery. Although it has always been a dream of mine, a part of me didn’t believe I was up for the challenge. Fast forward from many weeks of contemplating I decided to accept an offer at Caley for MSc Pharmacology mainly because it its commitment to empowering the next generation. I had my visa processed and in mid-august I saw myself in this beautiful city. Though not my first time on foreign soil, I didn’t know what to expect. I remember taking a walk to witness the vibrant city and my word what a sight that was. Uni began and not surprising I was tensed. I guess I thought to myself “am I really doing this”. I met really welcoming stuff members who introduced us to the university and made us feel right at home. I remember a bingo like game we played during the induction week which I lost horribly ha-ha but it gave me my campus pals. It was then I thought to myself, “You are going to be just fine”.
It Begins….
